Vintage Military Campaign Hat I find this campaign hat so fascinating! Someone has written in permanent marker on the inside of the hat – $8.95 and 6 3/4. The inside band of this campaign hat reads “Hat, Service, Field” PQMD-277-H-4321 Contr. No.38889 RS-1944. The inside band also has a lace tied in a bow, and I’m assuming that has something to do with the fit of the hat. Great condition although it is missing the chin strap it probably would have came with. Overall dimensions approximately 12 1/4″ x 13 1/2″ and 6″ height
